CREW
BRIAN CHIN (Editor)![]() Brian is the rare breed who understands the 0s and 1s behind the screen and knows how to make beautiful pictures on it. He’s sorta like a modern-day da Vinci—which makes sense considering the year he spent studying in Italy while a film student at Brown. Brian’s time abroad also led to an appreciation of the finer things in life: espresso, Ducati, and Lil’ Wayne.
Brian makes up one-third of the core crew of p3 (Portland Post / Production), a full-service video content studio that turns raw elements into inspiring and engaging brand stories. p3 writes, directs, shoots, edits, and, as the only Autodesk Smoke facility in Northern New England, can also throw down some nasty titling, coloring, and graphics. AM ZICK (Sound Designer / Sound Editor / Foley Artist)![]() Born and raised in Cleveland, OH, Aaron began studying piano at the age of ten, enrolling in St. George's School in Middletown, RI, for high school, where he expanded his musical interests to playing drums and percussion, performing in the school's annual musical, singing in the choir, and studying organ. Aaron matriculated to Brown University in 2007 and continued his organ studies over the course of freshman year, but slowly and painfully realized his temperament wasn't suited for taming such a powerful instrument. He turned to composition and electronic music as an outlet for his frustrations while continuing to play percussion in bands. During his last year at Brown, he focused his attention on sound design, working on one play and two short films. Upon graduation (that very day) he flew to Berlin for six weeks to study composition with Samuel Adler. Upon return, he was torn about whether to pursue further study in music or sound design, his two passions. He decided to attend Vancouver Film School's Sound Design program, graduated in December 2012, and is relieved to say that he absolutely made the right decision! Since attending VFS he cofounded Good Baby Films, a loose film collective committed to producing character-driven, visually daring, and narratively nuanced films. He moved to Manhattan… okay, Brooklyn… well… New Jersey, and is seeking work in the sound and music for visual media realm. http://www.amzick.com/
